Climate-tech company Newtral.io has raised $80K (Rs 0.64 crore) in a pre-seed funding round led by startup accelerator PedalStart.

The company plans to use the funds for the growth of the company and accelerate the development of its product portfolio focused on carbon accounting and sustainability reporting needs, Newtral said in a press release.

Co-founded in 2022 by Avi Chudasama, Vinod Sonagara, and Anuraag Paul, Newtral.io provides enterprise sustainability software, empowering them to achieve net zero emissions. It also enables businesses to track and mitigate their carbon emissions while implementing sustainable practices.

According to the Bengaluru-based startup, by leveraging the Newtral.io platform, enterprises can effectively measure their carbon emissions, identify areas for emissions reduction, create custom dashboards, and adopt sustainable practices.

Gurugram-based PedalStart helps build founders through their startup ideas, with the help of ex-entrepreneurs, successful startup founders, domain experts, and angel investors.

Earlier this month, the United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP) in partnership with Massive Earth Foundation (MEF) launched LowCarbon. Earth (LCE) 2023, a climate tech accelerator focused on startups solving for climate change and pollution.  In June, Avaana Capital, also closed its $70 million worth climate tech fund.
